Embark on an exciting canoe camping adventure tailored for both novice campers and adventurous teenagers! Our journey kicks off right in the heart of Cooloola National Park at the picturesque canoe put-in area known as Harry's Hut. This is a trip where the river becomes our pathway, and with all our camping gear comfortably stowed in the canoes, we're ready to explore.
Those new to canoeing will be offered comprehensive instruction prior to the journey to get them underway. We'll start with a short 4km paddle to our cosy campsite, where each canoe will have 2-3 occupants and all the necessary camping gear on board.

Canoe camping is pure magic – the canoes do the heavy lifting while we glide along, gently propelling them with our paddles. There's ample time for swimming and soaking in the majestic scenery. Rest assured, the canoes are super stable, and tipping over is a rarity unless someone's trying to! And even in such an unlikely event, all our gear is securely waterproofed in bags and barrels.

Our campsite is a designated National Parks area beside the river (Camp 3), complete with convenient amenities like toilets and picnic tables. Tents are set up just a short stroll from the river, sparing us from lugging heavy packs for miles. We want everyone to enjoy this nature experience and leave with a desire to return (and bring you along next time!). While showers are not on the menu, the fresh-water river offers plenty of opportunities for swims throughout the day.

Tammy will delight your taste buds with a delectable selection of food and meals, which the group will have a hand in preparing on camp stoves. With advance notice, we can cater to most dietary preferences and allergies.

Our second day at camp may involve a scenic walk to the Cooloola Sandpatch, where towering sandhills beckon you to slide and jump down their slopes. They also offer breath-taking views of the surrounding Noosa Everglades. There’ll also be plenty of time for swimming, games, and just enjoying the camp experience.

After a leisurely start on our third and final day, we'll pack up and make our way back to Harry's Hut. We'll load our canoes onto the trailer and head back to Brisbane arriving mid-late afternoon.
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure that combines the thrill of canoeing with the beauty of nature and the comfort of guided camping.
All this fun occurs under the direction and supervision of trained and experienced outdoor professionals (Tammy and Guy). They've been working with teens in the outdoors for almost 20 years apiece. We do it because we love it and we enjoy seeing the growth and independence of young souls.
