About the event

Nature is our greatest teacher, it encourages us to be curious and explore the world around us and as we do we learn about how the world works and how we are connected to it.

For ages 5-12yrs.

Our venue is next to a beautiful creek with patches of remnant rainforest at the Samford eco-corridor only 5mins drive from Samford Village.

We follow the forest school philosophy where we provide the time and space for children to learn new skills through play. The aim is to promote children’s holistic development, which in turn fosters resilient, confident, independent, and creative learners. Benefits of which include: social and emotional development, physical fitness, love of nature, improved mental health, learning by experience, and exposure to manageable risk. Each session will offer a structured activity and free play and exploration. The program is child led so we will follow the interests of the children in the session to learn about nature and the world around us.

Some of the activities we will offer are:  Bow and arrow making, Natural weaving, raft and shelter building, enchanted cubbies, creek exploration, Whittling and wood carving, nature craft and so much more.
