About the event
Returning to your roots, you will create a beautiful basket, learning to weave the vines through a journey of creativity and mindfulness.
The traditional people of this land walk through the bush and see shelter, tools, food and medicine in the natural landscape.
We have lost our connection to natures resources. This experience will reconnect and educate you on how to use what is available to you in nature to create an incredible useful piece for your home.
You will create a beautiful basket, learning to weave the vines through a journey of creativity and mindfulness. We will sit by the running creek, shaded by the towering trees bathing ourselves in peaceful sounds of the Australian bush.
We will enjoy a supplied morning tea as we are weaving.
Mindfulness practice brings our awareness into the present moment.
We all know how good being in nature can make us feel. The sound of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight playing through the leaves, the fresh clean air... these are the things that give us comfort.
Time in nature eases our stress and worry, it helps us to relax and think more clearly. It restores our mood, gives us back our energy and vitality as well as refreshing and rejuvenating us.
We know this in our bones, like an intuition or an instinct. It's a feeling that can be hard to describe. We feel it when we watch a sunset or when we walk through majestic forests.
This experience not only gives you energy and vitality it also reconnects you with your roots, the traditional ways of life. It gives you knowledge and power to care for our planet and in turn allow our planet to care for you.
